20 minutesDo not drink
This peaceful stream runs alongside and occasionally crosses the trail. Keep an eye out for tropical birds as you walk. Never drink the stream water due to the risk of bacterial disease.

Explore
The upper section of the trail takes you deep into the rainforest to the main 150-foot waterfall observation area.
As you move past the lower botanical sections, the path gets denser and often muddier. You will walk through cinematic bamboo groves and cross streams before reaching the waterfall.
Stay on the designated path at all times. Do not swim in the pool below the falls due to the risk of Leptospirosis and falling rocks.

15 minutesGreat lighting
Walk through a dense section of towering bamboo stalks. They creak musically in the wind. The sunlight filters through the tall stalks to create excellent photo opportunities.

15-20 minutes150-foot (46 m) waterfallNo swimming
This is the main observation point at the end of the trail. The 150-foot (46-meter) waterfall drops into a rocky pool. Respect the rock wall barriers and do not approach the pool directly. Falling rocks are a severe hazard.

Time variesConnecting trail
Find this connecting trail just before you reach the waterfall. It leads deeper into the Ko'olau mountains. Only take this path if you want a longer, more challenging hike. It does not lead to another waterfall.
